Tall Father Christmas with Toy Sack – German Paper Mâché Figure
Timothy De Clue Collection Holiday 2025
This tall, hand-crafted Father Christmas figure is a stunning tribute to traditional German holiday artistry. Made from paper mâché and dressed in a rich red felt coat trimmed in natural wool, he carries a burlap sack brimming with hand-carved wooden toys—each one individually strung with red cord in the classic Erzgebirge style.
In one hand, he holds a snowy sprig adorned with a tiny lamb—a nod to the vintage symbolism of Saint Nicholas as both gift-giver and shepherd of good behavior. His expressive, hand-painted face and woolly beard evoke the magic of early 20th-century German Christmas markets.
A striking heirloom-quality piece, this Santa brings authenticity, folklore, and timeless craftsmanship to your holiday display.
