Santa Paper Mache in Shoe Car | Vintage German Reproduction of 19th Century Piece

This reproduction Santa driving a shoe vehicle was based on a sample from the 19th Century. It consists of a paper mâché-boot with four tin wheels on wooden axes. At the toe of the boot, a small fir tree is bent by the wind. Santa’s beard and hair are made of sheep wool, and a red felt jacket dresses him as he skillfully navigates the icy terrain, a sack full of gifts strapped to his back.
